When fashion designer Marissa Ganino met Chantelle, they instantly clicked. Two women on a mission to change the way girls feel about their bodies, their underwear, and their planet.
After years designing for brands like Elle Macpherson Body, Kayser and Finelines Marissa had seen it all. The good, the glam, and the not so green. But something was missing. She could see that there was a need for underwear that felt good in every way not just to wear, but to believe in. That’s how teysha was born: a brand for girls who want to feel comfy and confident, whilst being kind to their bodies and the planet.
🌸 It Started with a Simple Idea
When Chantelle couldn’t find age appropriate, high quality undies for her teen, she reached out to Marissa and the two got talking. They both agreed: girls deserved better. Better fabrics. Better fits. Better vibes.
Marissa loved the idea of creating organic, non toxic underwear that was cute, comfy, and empowering, a far cry from the synthetic toxic collections that are flooding the market. Together, they dreamed up teysha: underwear made with love, honesty, and a whole lot of comfort.
💚 Why Saving the Planet & our Health Feels So Good
For Marissa, using sustainably grown organic cotton wasn’t just a trend, it was a promise. She’s passionate about slow fashion and designing with purpose. Every teysha bra and undies is made to last, using materials that are gentle on skin and on the Earth.
Using Organic Cotton which isn't farmed with harsh chemicals. No toxic dyes. No wasteful packaging. Just pure, breathable cotton that lets your skin (and conscience) breathe easy.
Looking after yourself shouldn’t come at the cost of the planet and Marissa’s determined to prove that fit, comfort and consciousness can totally go hand in hand. And concentrating on using only organic cotton means she is avoiding the endocrine-disrupting chemicals found in nylons and polyesters and other chemicals used to grow and dye fabrics. When teens are growing and their hormones are changing - the last thing we should be doing is absorbing plastics and chemicals into the body. Especially through our undergarments. Natural all the way!

At its heart, teysha is about girls supporting girls. Marissa believes every girl deserves to grow up feeling proud of her body not pressured by unrealistic standards.
She was on board to create underwear that felt like a hug soft, natural, and confidence boosting. Designed by women who get it.
“We wanted girls to feel comfy, cute, and confident,” Marissa says. “And we wanted mums to know they could trust what their daughters are wearing because it’s made with care and all the organic good stuff.”
